EGR delete on 2010 D4 3.0 TDV6 with no DPF

Hi all - mine is an early D4 3.0 TDV6 and doesn't have a DPF. I was under the impression that EGR delete would be possible without ECU changes as it doesn't have a DPF but since doing mine I've now started getting the dreaded "Restricted Performance" message on instrument display and the P2263 fault:

P2263-22 (2F) Turbo/supercharge boost system performance - General signal failure - signal amplitude>maximum

Please don't say I have to put them back or get remap 😬 (I will do but just not yet Smile

personally with new tighter emissions test at MOT that may find you out I wouldnt be risking the £2k fine . It is illegal to interfere with any original emissions equipment on any vehicle. They have started spot checks in this part of the world which involves stopping vehicles to check emissions. They were recently set up at the Shell garage on the A47 at Wisbech doing spot checks

What’s the £2000 fine for? Never heard of this. I’ll obviously have to pass emissions tests at MOT time but not too worried about that.

That is the fine for interfering with emissions equipment. You can be caught out any time as VOSA have started spot checks . Passing the MOT is no get out and getting less likely as the goalpost are moving at present it is merely a smoke test which has no relevance to the actual emissions and is due for a change to a more meaningful test that tests actual pollutants against the design spec for your vehicle. Just saying beware .
