Command Shift in "D" - not possible in North American spec?
First post, coming from the other side of the pond, and asking for help.
Issue: When in "D" via the rotary selector (MY2016), Command Shift (via steering wheel paddles) does not work. It will only operate with the rotary in "S".
I believe this is normal for North American spec Discovery 4/LR4's, but also understand this isn't the same for European-spec models. I know from reading some posts here that the option to either have Command Shift operate in "S" only or "D" and "S" don't exist (despite what the manual says), but the setting must be somewhere in the CCF presumably if the functions are different depending on the market.
I've chatted with the guys at GAP Diagnostic and have gone through the untested CCF list to see if I could track down a 'fix' for this. No luck at this point, so I wanted to see if anyone had stumbled across a setting somewhere in the CCF settings to make the change.
Thanks for any help!

Not sure if this applies to the D4 but on the D5 I can activate this via the vehicle menu, in vehicle settings, convenience features then gear box paddles :
Might be with checking?

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, not an option in the settings menu on the D4's. RRS's and D5's have it, but for whatever reason, that functionality isn't baked into the D4/LR4's.

Sorry, can't help then. My D4 had a ZF 6 speed with a stick selector. Which you'd have to push over into "Sport" first as well before able to manually go up and down gears.

I don’t know the answer, but a D4 you just use the paddle,it then selects command shift, to disengage command shift you hold the up paddle until it goes back to auto.
You could try holding the up paddle and see if it selects command shift, if that doesn’t work try the down paddle.

There is an option in IID to disable the paddles in all modes except S mode - no matter if you try and use them or not
I've disabled it in mine as I was fed up catching them while moving the wheel from lock to lock quickly
You need to do the opposite by going into IID and turning them back on again2013 Discovery 4 HSE Lux | 2001 Defender 90 TD5 | 2007 Prodrive RB320

Thanks, Al. It’s a SCV6 (MY2016). As of 2014, no more V8’s for the Disco4/LR4 on our side.

Thanks - have tried both in the past. It’s odd as the L494 RRS and Jag vehicles have the same functionality built in, but they bypassed the LR4/D4 for some reason on our side of the pond. Super annoying to be honest.

Now we’re getting warmer! Any idea where you find this option in the IIDTool menus? Under CCF config, and what setting name? If you could point me in the right direction, my guess is this is where the option is enabled/disabled for North American D4’s.
Thanks!
