Aircon help / suggestions please
Hi
Recently had my indie cut the rusty rear air con pipes and fit the mod to convert it to front only.
Had it re-gassed and it was working great, however that was about 6 weeks ago, it has gradually stopped working so I assume probably leaking somewhere else too - any ideas where I might start?
Many thanks2014 D4 HSE Facelift Corris Grey

When it was regassed it is usual practice to test it for leaks with a dye before regassing, so have it tested again! It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

it was regassed at Kwik Fit as Indie doesnt do gassing, and lets be honest I am not going to go back to Kwik Fit and get any sensible advice. It worked fine for about 3-4 weeks, really well in fact, for the first time ever - but has gradually lost most of its oomph now - although still has a bit.
Thanks for the reply but I am looking for technical advice.2014 D4 HSE Facelift Corris Grey

Look for yellow dye over the pipes
And front radiator.
Use white tissue to check for yellow

There's typically UV dye in there so the leak site can be identified. Get yourself a cheap UV torch off eBay and have a look around. Have a good look around the condenser particularly.2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

Had a problem with my aircon a few years ago turned out the gas was leaking up the middle of the pressure switch , a/c man pulled the plug off the top of the pressure switch and out came the gas.
He fitted new pressure switch and gassed up and still going strong. Good luck
