The difference between the IId and your multi meter are probably just due to tolerance in the measuring devices.

However, 12.1V or even 12.3V is a partially discharged battery. A battery can show 12V when totally discharged.

It would be good to put that on charge for a day, and see if it recovers. You really want to see 12.7/12.8V after it's been charged.

Hi, the battery in mine shows the same values as that and has always been fine, not showing any faults. Once when the I’d tool was plugged in it showed 11.9v but started and ran fine.
Do some of these cars struggle more than others?

My IID often shows 12.1 and sometimes as low as 11.9.
Been like that for well over 5 years, and at least two possibly three different batteries.

Car is battery hungry with ign on and engine off.

Running voltage is mid 14 to 15.2 volts pretty much all the time, due to short commutes.
