Bit expensive but trip over the bridge to Malmö & back. No idea what to do in Malmö though but the bridge is fab.

Plus you get “Welcome to Sweden” on the satnav. Gotta be worth it just to see the flag.

Copenhagen
Shed loads. Get a hotel bike, you wont regret it.
Across from Tivoli is the main shopping street. On from that is NewHaven the tourist street. Cross the new bridge and there is a smashing out door food market and drinks area. Your now on Christianshavn island. Take a walk around and there are nice coffee shops and then there is the hippy commune of Christiania. Worth a look, it has a great cafe in the middle. Take a walk up any of a number of church spires on the way.
Also worth a visit is the crown jewels, like in London, the zoo is really good, polar bears are amazing. Boat trip always worth a go. Opera house, the national art gallery is great, some really contemporary pieces. Little mermaid, and just up from that in an old marine navy yard is a fantastic deli and wine warehouse. Stop there first, buy a bottle and some grub, walk down and enjoy it looking at the mermaid.
Stacks of places to eat, I would recommend going to the old meat district and eating at War Pigs. Stacks of nice restaraunts if you go a few paces off the beaten track. If you want to wow at not too much cost try 56 degrees. It looks like an old wharehouse (because it is) but the inside, service and food is wowDiscovery 4 3.0 HSE 2010 year. I like it a lot. I forgot to mention there is the military museum, even my wife enjoyed that one, the national naval museum its free and a doesent take long to go around, its near to the out door food place I memtioned and in a nice area. A bit out of the city but near the airport is the national aquarium and next to it Amaga Strand beach with diving platforms. If your feeling a bit brave and want to do something a bit different I can direct you to an area in the docks that is an old security gate house converted to a wine bar. It has floating pontoons in the harbour that you can swim from, and also a sauna hut that you can use after. Its a nice spot and the water is still warm at the momemt.Discovery 4 3.0 HSE 2010 year. If you have kids, a day out at bonbonland.dk is a park with a difference. To be honest a good laugh for adults as well.

Just back from Copenhagen - what a smashing city - would recommend for a long weekend break. Thanks to those who gave info - very useful
Only "disappointment" (if you can call it that) was the little mermaid - she is very little and only about 10ft from the shore - somehow was expecting something a bit more impressive.
And............... form Oct 1st Carlsbery brewery isnt open on monday, so didnt do that, but did enough drinking and eating anyway.

Jealous. Would love to visit there some day. In the meantime Discovery ownership is absorbing all available funds!
