a few over the years have put a spot weld or two to stop it being nicked...is this what you are thinking...consider a fixed one

I was thinking of fully welding it in situ at every possible point, Just about to buy my first caravan and I'm not too keen on the look of the fixed one's. we already use it quite often as is for towing the horse around and sometimes i feel a little bit of play in it when i unhitch the horse trailer..

hi . if you google removable tow bar problems or similar you will see loads of horror stories with removable tow bars. some with horse trailors overtaking the towing vehicle I wouldn't trust a few spot welds on them your choice . alan.

I suggest you don't weld it in. If you did, and subsequently had an accident, your insurance could be invalid.
The removable towbar, if properly fitted, is good to tow anything, and I've towed many different trailers and caravans with mine. However, I have now fitted a Tow Trust TL1, which is a really nice piece of kit.
