RETRO FIT CENTRE CONSOLE FRIDGE
If as the title suggests, I was looking to retro fit a centre console fridge to a 2010 Disco 4 HSE - could someone explain the fitting procedure, wiring required or is the loom present?
Any big hurdles I'd need to overcome, and would this be a good start...

MY2019 D5 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - sold to a dealer for a crazy price! - So good I bought another!

The 3 and 4 fridge are different, I have a 4 in my d3 but not sure if a d3 fridge fits in a d4, someone will come along and explain better, they have different colour led lights, the wiring was there for mine but the d4 fridge did not turn off so had to fit, I think it was a relay

Thanks for mentioning that Mark, perhaps that eBay link may not be suitable then as I believe it to be from a 3!

Someone with a lot more knowledge will be along to tell exactly what you want, I got the d4 because they are not that expensive new, I think about half the price of a d3

I have a D3 one In my D4
It was plug and play.
There was a change in the method they use to decide when to turn off after the vehicle is switched off but I can't remember the detail. Mine works fine though.

Fitted mine last night, took about 25 minutes.
2010 HSE
1. Took out the cup holder and undid the 2 screws inside which hold down the centre console
2. Lifted up the plastic trim at the front of the cubby box - just pulls upwards
3. Grasped centre console on both sides by cup holders and lifted up gently
4. Undid the two T20 torx bits at either side on the front of the cubby box previously hidden by the centre console
5. Undid the two T40 torx bits either side of the top cover
6. Lifted gently the two silver trim pieces on the top cover hinges
7. Lifted up the top cover from the hinges and loosened the USB lead grommet
8. Whilst lifting the centre console slightly, removed the cubby box which needs a gentle but forceful lift upwards as it is located on trim clips at the base
9. Inserted cubby fridge checking for wires not being squashed and put USB grommet in place
10. Pushed cubby fridge downwards into place
11. Connected cubby fridge lead checking for any fouling
12. Started car to check for correct operation and no power issues
13. Started from point 7 and worked backwards

Fridges are same size etc so either one will fit in either.
D4 fridge wont swich of on its own and hence I believe is ignition switched.
D3 fridge has circuitry that means it stays on but wont flatten the battery and hence has permanent live supply. Thats why they are more expensive.
Fit a D4 fridge in a D3 and forget to switch it off normally ends in flat battery.
Hope this helps

Retro Fit - Airbag issues?
Hi everyone,
I am new to the forum and have had my D4 for about 6 months (love it!). I have considered retro-fitting a centre console fridge in it, but the dealer told me that you cannot retro-fit as there is an issue with airbag wiring? From reading this forum, no one seems to mention this, so I thought I better check. I really wanted to buy the D4 fridge and stick it in my D4 - simples? Would anyone mind letting me know?
Also, there are no fridges on eBay at the moment, can anyone recommend a place to purchase one from.
Thanks!
Marcus

Try Dan at duckworths.
And what airbag wiring? These are an oem part that come as an optional extra.
Get yourself one fitted
