Saunton Sands

Visited the above 3 - 4 yrs ago. Walked from Sandy Lane Car Park. Stopped in the dunes for lunch. Can you drive through the dunes. Remember some defenders in there, just can't remember if they were military or not. Down in Woolacombe during half term, and my daughters liked finding shells on that beach.

Do you mean Saunton?

Not aware of any drives through the dunes, unless you mean Marine Drive at Woolacombe, which is a long narrow car park at the top of the dunes at the beach.

Yes Saunton.

About half way down beach is a massive dune, and a car park is inland from that.

Aren’t the sand dunes Braunton Burrows? I haven’t been there since I was a kid but my Mother’s family were from the area and one of them owned the Saunton Sands Hotel.

It's a mod training ground so no beach driving.

Nice walk from baggy point and the view from the cliffs is breath taking.

We are there last weekend of October
