Steady 65 = v good mpg
Hi all. Had my d3 4 weeks now and im totally sold.
Look at this, pre service and delivering this kind of mpg
Not bad for such a heavy weight..

Ah, the lie o meter. Take 10% off and you'll be closer. The only way to check is filling brim to brim and doing the mileage calculation.

Get the offset adjusted in the CCF to about -6%, then make a judgement.
As above, the car cannot be trusted for mpg readings. The only way is as stated by filling up and measuring mileage.2011 MY D4 HSE

You can do that in the D4, don’t think you can do it in the D3. At least I never figured out how.

I use road trip on iOS for tracking all vehicle related expenses.

Miles divided by litres, times 4.55, then knock of 10 percent and you will be pretty much spot on, full tank to full tank.

Why knock off 10%? Miles/ltrs x 4.55 is bang on.

I just use it for fuel, putting in all the costs is just too scary. Some things you just don’t want to know.

I’ve got mine at max compensation on the D4, it’s still over reading by a couple of mpg. If trip says 35 I’m generally looking at 32.

Off to see GB RALLY WALES now, doubt ill see 29mpg on those back lanes

To compoensate for the dash lieometer, same in pretty much all cars.
