Hi all I've got all the glow plugs out except the one next to the high pressure fuel pump I can't get it past the pump any way of doing this with out removing pump having just put it all back together with new belts. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I think you will have to just put it back in.
4 or 5 GP's should be enough
Have to change it another time

Did the design of the HPFP change between the D3 and D4, Apart from the D4 requiring timing?
When I did my glow plugs recently all six came out without issue even the one next to the fuel pump.

Pumps changed from the original 05-06MY to a new design for 07-09MY.
Changed again for 3.0 D4, though the 2.7 retained the same pump as 07-09 D3'sMy D3 Build Thread

Glow plugs
Hi all thanks for your suggestions. I decided to take the easy way out and put the plug next to the hpfp back in and do it on the next service. I found the vibrating air tool very good I'm sure I would of snapped a couple at least which did take awhile to get out. none of the plugs were working so looking good for winter.
