Locked out
Ok I thought I had resolved the whole remote not opening the car, i found and soldered the three wires in the summer and since then all was ok........until today
BIG ISSUE the car was reversed on the drive with the NS very close to the wall of the house, no this morning (cold and frosty) the car will not unlock from the remote, tried the spare and that is the same (spare could be flat as not used much)
So two issues:
1, how the hell do I get into the car as there is no way to get to the NS door lock, is there another way before I try and drag the car across the drive
2, any ideas what the issue may now be, I am tempted to send the key away to one of the shops on ebay that replace the battery etc in the key just in case thats the issue, looks to cost about £25 but you end up with a non gen key case.
open to thoughts please
Thanks Nigel

Good luck with towing it!
How is the car battery? Cold mornings very quickly show up weak batteries, especially on something like a D3 which has very large electrical requirements.
Do you know that the key was being charged? The keys are charged by an inductive loop in the steering column, around the key hole. There are threads about keys not charging.Richard

Any friends locally with D3? Might be able to charge your key if near ignition in their car on a drive however not sure how long this would take. Just a thought.

I understand a contactless toothbrush charger will charge the key. Mind, I would expect the 2nd to work unless itself is flat.

I very recently bought one of the replacement case and battery kits from ebay, piece of cake if you can use a soldering iron....worked a treat.
