EGR Control circuit high fault - advice please

Hi guys, wonder if anyone can help point me in the right direction here...

MY08 D3, I had both EGR valves replaced beginning of October ( EML light and reduced engine power)and all has been fine until last week.

Orange EML light back on ( but this time, car is driving perfectly) and had error codes read, 1 was for a faulty oil temp sensor ( temp never appeared to change! and a P0490-00 (6C) EGR control circuit high fault. Opinion seemed to point towards the oil sensor which I changed this morning and normal oil temp readings have been resumed, however, still getting the EGR fault after clearing it. Looking at live values, Valve 0 and valve 1 command and position, remain at 0% and 5% respectively, regardless of vehicle speed or revs. I've checked EGR wiring connectors and all appears good and that's about as far as I can go................. Anyone else had this fault or have any ideas??

I do have it booked in on Dec 18th to see if my local Indi can find the fault but I really don't like driving with the orange EML light all the time!
 Best Regards,
Dave.

Was the car up to temperature at this point (and I take it this was after the EOT sensor was changed)?
