Discovery 3 HSE HEATER PROBLEM.

Hi,Having problems with my heater. Basically its gets hot the drivers side but not the passenger side. If you turn the temp up on passenger side its only luke warm but drivers side much hotter. if you turn heater to cold on passenger side it goes colder. i have replaced the blend motor on passenger side and also done heater calibration by holding down eco and rec buttons but this has also not fixed problem. I have also re gassed a/c and that seems to be working fine. its getting cold now and the wife is complaining!!

Could be the heater maxtrix blocked internally, sometimes a good quality coolant flush and new coolant will help.

The way it works is one side gives hot air to driver and the other side to passenger. I believe they block up one side first.

I had this and a replacement heater matrix worked perfectly. It was a pleasure once replaced! I got it done at an ex-LR garage in Limerick and it cost about €350 from memory incl labour. Some say it is a dash out job but I don't think it is, certainly don't think they did that for €350
