Swap manual seats from D3 S to HSE full electric

Hello All,

yes I know, there are plenty of posts about doing the upgrade from manual seats to the electic ones from HSE model. I looked at a bunch of them but still need a quick poiter if I may. BTW, sorry for my English, not my first language.

I have a Disco 2.7, S with manual and bought an HSE electric seats with memory, which I dont need. Only want the motors to work.

When I removed the seats I was left with the Ford multiconnector

and on the seats I have a complete different connectors.

Do I rewire them by cutting out the ford multiconnector and connecting the wires directly to the seat connectors?

Thank you for the help.

Take a look at this link. It might help you out?

I'd be really interested to know what you do if you do not have the large grey memory plug as you show in your second photo. My Project D3 has only got the black Ford plug and not the large grey one! Crying or Very sad

Well as far as I know the gray connector is for seat memory, so I ll probably will have to bypass that one.

Thanks for the link. Been there, read it, though didn't find an answer.

Now to keep you posted on the progress, I've managed to do the passenger side which really was plug & play Smile

The driver side on the opposite is a headache. I've ended up connecting the connectors as shown in the next pic, though really don't know where the purple one is suppoused to be or do for that matter. I've put it in the only hole it fits.

And for the rest of it, the big gray connector is suppoused to be for the memory seats, though not sure either and no clue what's the other one next to it.

Either way this seat still does not work. Any help anybody? Please Smile Thanks.

This is the situation with my project D3 the passenger is plug and play but the drivers seat is the absent of the large grey plug and the D3 doesn't have it coming from the carpet either?
