When I had to have my engine rebuilt, as a precaution I took the opportunity to replace the heads with a newer pair that had been recently fitted with new inlet manifolds by LR.
I've still got the original pair as taken off with inlet manifolds, glow-plugs and camshafts. They've come off a March 2011 registered SDV6 with 81,000 miles. They're all in working condition (no problems with the heads !) The inlet manifolds look fine but can't be sure if they came within the rogue batch that caused problems.
I'm looking at £300 the pair but collection (or arrange relay) only as they're heavy and bulky and I don't want to risk transit damage.
Please see photos, hopefully you can check part/batch numbers from the photos.
