Discovery 4 steering wheel in a discovery 3
Hello all...
I've just bought a discovery 4 steering wheel with cruise, radio controls, voice command and phone. It's a non heated type.
I know these use the same clock spring as the D3 but when connected up only the horn is correct.
The mode button raises the audio volume, voice command lowers the audio volume.
Minus button is station down, plus button is station up.
Station up is phone.
The call green and red buttons are innop
The cruise buttons also innop.
Car is a Discovery 3 SE 55 plate with cruise and steering and audio buttons on the old wheel.
I've read that circuit boards need to be changed when fitting heated complete wheels and paddles but wondered if I'm merely looking at changing pin locations with my set up
Thanks in advance

It's not a straight swap.
You still need to buy and swap circuit boards to get everything to work and even then, you need the correct wheel and not one from too late a D4.
Good luck.Mods:
Front Fogs + Halos
FBH Remote Control
The 1st Ever RRS Modded Grill
Garmin Nuvi + D4 Surround + Reversing Camera.
D4 Steering Wheel.
Rear Boot Spoiler.
Twin Brake Lights.
Wing Mirror Indicator Repeaters.
Long Roof Rails

I'm not scared, I'm outta here.

It's BBS.
You really need to read the link I've previously posted as all the info is in there, failing that, use the search facility, everything is well documented.
