Hi all,
Can anybody recommend the type of oil to use on the passenger door handle lock (behind the plastic cover).
I've never used mine so I'm sure it will be seized so I would like to service it and make sure it will work should it be needed.
I'm sure I've heared that wd40 and the like is bad for locks and that graphite oil should be used?.

I would not put wd40 near any car lock, ok on a padlock. The steering lock on my D2 stopled working, when I took it apart (tricky) I found the lock was a series of sliding brass plates, the oil stickied then up so when a high part of the key passed them the didnt self slide back to engauge with the small part.
Once dried off they worked fine. I only used dry graphite after that. It comes in a puffer bottle so you just puff it in and work the key Discovery 4 3.0 HSE 2010 year. I like it a lot. Now with winch 😂

Wow!
I only have the dregs of a puffer bottle of dry graphite left, which I brought home from Oz about 9 years ago; bought it in Bunnings!
Where’d you get such gold here in the uk?
