Brake failure!
So Bodsy is here.... and of course the disco decides to misbehave for him.
I moved the car off the drive in order to place it correctly for Bodsy's transmission flush and when I drove it forward, I went to stop and the pedal just kept going down.. It didn't want to stop at all...though eventually it did and I just missed an unfortunate episode with my neighbours new car!
What is odd is that it didn't have a hard pedal - it was just like the normal pedal, but kept going down till my foot was at full stretch...
After this it was OK - but obviously this is a worrying turn of events and ideas would be welcome.

Brake fluid needs changing ? recent pad change and not pumped brakes up ? leaking Caliper seals ? Master cylinder leaking ? corroded brake line ? That would all be on my check list

Thanks. Yes all obvious things, and I will check them. Thanks.
One other thing... It did stop when I reversed first time (so thankfully I didn't crash into Bodsy's van (imagine the paperwork!) - it was when I then drove forward it didn't stop... so what could going backwards first change?

Does anybody have a picture of the modified parts fitted, so that I can tell if mine was done before?

Don’t forget the handbrake if it happens again. It doubles as an emergency brake and will stop you dead in you tracks.

Sounds like master cylinder might be shot but no harm to do diagnostic check in case there's an issue with the ABS unit.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
