Driving home last night and I noticed some of the dashboard light are out. am I right in thinking they're just the 501 bulbs? also how difficult is it to get the instrument cluster out, what is needed?

Not 501's they are led and built in.
You have a dodgy connection somewhere most probably within the binnacle. Mods:

No worries. That does sound like a high possibility as the lights that are out are all contained within the speedo side of the cluster Black disco3 XS

I’m going to take the cluster out have a quick look myself if I can’t see any glaring issues I’ll give them a shout. Black disco3 XS
