| Sat nav trouble after stereo swap |

I swapped my head unit over yesterday (exact same thing part number) and now my sat nav can't seam to follow me.
When I fire the car up the navs location is fine (where I am), however soon as I move it goes tits up and wanders off in its own direction. The little GPS logo in the corner has a red line through it, so I don't get how it picks my location once the car has been turned off and back on again.
Iv checked the antenna on the back of the dvd drive, seams fine and ejected and re inserted the disc and pulled the stereo again to check the plug are clipped in. Is there a hard reset for this or an easy fix?

didn't think the location was anything to do with the radio or display.
