[For Sale] 2005 Discovery 3 V8 4.4 HSE
Hi all
Firstly, I had read the rules and I think this meets everything for a Sale. Some of you may have seen this was originally up for swaps but I think id be better selling it and then buying a 90.
Genuine reason for sale, With a D5 it isn't used as much as it should be, plan is to end up with a Defender 90.
2005 Discovery 3 V8 HSE
Green with a cream interior, good condition, no rear parcel shelf.
Fixed towbar with twin electrics
Never had an LPG conversion - Straight as it left the factory in that way which apparently is a rarity but also a good thing.
159K miles
Full Service History - Initially with Land Rover including some London based dealers, and later with independents - Last service Oct last year.
MOT till June - All advisories pretty much ticked off, would need the paperwork to confirm what's missing.
In the last year it has had: (this list will grow as I gather documents)
n/s/r Upper Rear Arm
Track Rod/Track Rod Ends
PCV Valve
Thermostat
Bleed valve
Alternator
Brembo Rear brake pads
New Spark Plugs
Oil change on 2 x Diffs and transfer box
Service
New coolant bottle
Aux belt
Rear ARB bushes
O/S/R CV Boot
Passenger Front Sunroof Drain
Driver Front Sunroof Drain
Replaced swollen wheel bolts.
Pricing these vehicles is not at all easy. I have looked at offerings on AutoTrader and eBay which is limited. As I type there are two nationally on AT and a few on eBay, eBay seems to be very high mileage or very low with an asking of nearly 20k
Based on the above I think I am keen to get around £7,500 (dropped from £9,000) but very happy to be bought back to earth on that.

There are some dreamers out there with the prices for a v8 D3 they have been on the bay and auto trader a long time and I bet will remain there unsold.

what a cracker...never driven a v8 but guess its a good experience...a lot of fun for a gallon...life too short to worry about fuel price,,enjoy,,,,,,good luck with your sale,,if you want 60 miles to the gallon...get a corsa
