Rant - unnecessary precision - Hatfield Tunnel

I hate unnecessary precision: the local council have yet to justify the signs at the local car-park "Max Height 2.105 m" (even though I have pointed out the change in minimum height of the steel sign between a hot day and a cold day would probably require someone to go and re-write the sign)

In the Hatfield tunnel on the A1(M) are signs indicating the distance to the nearest emergency exit. These are shown to 1 yd precision, e.g., "321 yds". Who cares? In an emergency, I would just want to know which is the closest, not whether the distance is between 320.5 yds and 321.5 yds.

Rant over.

I feel better now!

I would get out more, but my tyre pressures keep deviating from the book figures and need constant adjustment.

You will never win with tyre pressures ever.
We like this time of year as nothing needs pumping up, come the colder weather and its another story.

Trouble is, if your pressures are spot on, when you remove the gauge a tiny amount of air is released, therefore the tyres are now under inflated Rolling with laughter

Not if you over inflate by half a psi then let the air escape for half a second when you take the pump off. Thumbs Up

And they change pressure between warm and cool days too. You really ought to adjust your pressures every day in the "2.105m" world. Rolling with laughter
