5th year service MY14 dealer or Indi?
So my fifth year service is coming up (well, the Disco, not me). It's been dealer serviced from new although it irritates me everytime I compare the bill to what they actually do. I suspect i'll have the car another couple of years. Is there a consensus on if it's worth keeping the Dealer services going having got this far or go to an indi?
I have a feeling this is an A service although 5 years it's only done 30k so in good shape (or barely run in!). After the three years I opted for two more years warranty with warranty direct if that makes a differenece.
Oh, am in the Reading area if anyone has a recommendation other than the main dealer - Jardine/Lancaster.
Any thoughts?

If you know of a good indi that would be my recommendation without hesitation. If not, someone on here my know of a reputable indi near you.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
Just having a dealer service doesn’t mean it’s better, recently had a third service at a dealers, service pack, didn’t touch the tyre pressures, top up the adblue, remove the wheels or adjust the handbrake or top up the washer bottle, which they admitted to, that’s only the bits I know about.
Going back next month for the items to be done, but only after JLRCS intervened.

With no disrespect it’s too old for a dealer, but they’ll take your money. Time to find a recommended indie and have better service for less cash.

Rovertune in Reading come highly recommended but Lancaster Reading are currently cheaper on their new 3year plus offer - https://www.landrover.co.uk/ownership/serv...icing.html
Just be careful if they quote to do additional works not on the offer as their labour rate is £145 per hour!

Whoever you use, check they are VAT registered!
A colleague at work has a RRS which has just had a failed secondary turbo. He had it serviced previously at a garage which somehow turned out not to be VAT registered, and hence his claim was denied....ouch!!!Joined the BMWX5 45e group

Stupid question No.23 in a series - anyone remember if 80K/5 Year is an interim or Major Service for a MY14 SDV6?

Have used Rovertune in Reading, and found them very professional and reasonably priced.
Also have used Tim Purslow at Hook, also very professional.
Have also used Marshalls at Peterborough, absolute bunch of cowboys, wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
Thinking of starting a thread about them!
