Northern Ireland 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Java BlackDiscovery 3

Hello I have 2004 disco 3 2.7 160000 miles l have broken wires in suspension loom keeps going down ,have had it fixed by Blrc many times but they say at this stage it needs a new loom fitted at a price of £2500 approx, had new turbo fitted last year new brake pipes etc spent £4000 on it
Is it worth spending more money on it or does anyone know a cheaper way to fix the problem without taking off the body

Power to the compressor comes from a relay in the battery box and then two wires to power the compressor. Depending on the year (prior to 2007) connector is in wheel arch (2007 on) connector is up behind headlight. So at best, to power compressor you just need two wires max, which is how you test it anyhow. 2500 is for new compressor an overhaul kit is a lot less.

I was assuming it was the level sensor wires giving problems?
or to the valve blocks ?

and there are a few sensors near the compressor too

Have you been complaining to your mech that his fixes don't last very long ? Laughing

One probably should ask for "what codes" are being read for a better answer
