Are you sure it is related to the compressor issue?.

What lights are on?

Have you tried to cycle the car through access/normal/off road and back to normal?

Also try a hard reset ( disconnect battery)

Good luck!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the reply

the red warning light is on , on the dash panel and as far as cycling goes, the ride height switch does not function at all with none of the LEDs illuminated

Welcome to the site...

Sorry if these appear stupid question, but:

1. How did you diagnose that the original fault was actually with the compressor and not another part of the system?

2. Is it definitely the red warning lamp with the two arrows above it? Does it start-up yellow or simply stay on red at all times?

3. Any messages in the LCD screen in the dash?

4. Did you replace the complete compressor assembly or just the actual motor part?

5. Are you sure you didn't disturb the tubes or wiring in the valve block just in front of the compressor?

Hi Paul, thanks for the reply

Tried to start the compressor with the Black box but to no availe so I changed the compressor. Once i had changed the compressor I was able to start it via the Black Box and fill the tank so thought I had found the fault

Deffinatly the red light with the two arrows above italthought the amber light comes on for a second or two first.

No Messages on the LCD screen though

I changed the whole comressor

Not sure about disturbinh the wires so I am off to check

thanks again Mike

More info

Decided to take the car for a test ride as it appeared to be at the correct ride height, however it was a short lived as it drove like a donkey, very bouncy indeed . so back to the drawingboard.

When you work on the air suspension ..the faultmate turns of the ecu to protect it ..you will need to re enable it ...let me have a look at mine to see where you should be looking

Go into the suspension tab down the left

Then other ...then start EAS enable / end EAS enable

It explains on there what to do ...give that a try .

The setting does work ..as i beta tested it Laughing ....unless of course you have other issues

Hi Thanks for your help it looks like im getting there.

Tried what you said and I now have my control back of the ride height and bouncy ride has disapeared. only problem that is outstanding is that I cant get rid of the red warning light, As before when I clear the fault code it goes off for a couple of seconds then it comes back, I have looked for fault codes but cannot see anything refering to the air suspension.

once again many thanks for your help

mike

You haven't set the suspension into calibration mode have you?

In this mode, the red light will stay on and you will not be able to change the height settings....

Try putting it back the ECU back into normal operation mode. Thumbs Up

Another thing - I'm sure that calibration mode is the only way to get a red malfunction light but without any error messages on the screen of the dash.

I'm willing to bet Wigg's sankey trailer that I'm right Thumbs Up Laughing

no probs

Check the fault codes just in the suspension section ..not the whole car ..see if out comes up .

I will have a think ..see if out else springs to mind Thumbs Up
