changing front seats
hi all, i've a disco3 (yr 2009) and the leather seat is (after 260.000 kms) a a little damaged. is it possible to change the bottom of the left- and right frontseat? the back-rest (upper part of seat) is both quite good,

yes you can get foam as well as trim from ebay if you look close enough
swap is pretty easy although it is advisable to have tools to work wiht trim clips which speed job up by hours
i have done ti on my old bus myslef but it was laborious process until i got trim tools

I see some seat bases in good nick on ebay as well so that would be 4 screws to swap unless your seats are heated and all

I have swapped them, simple enough job just takes time, about four hours to swap the covers, the complete squabs can be swapped but you will lose the seat belt sensor on the passenger side, to do a proper job the covers need removing and the seat belt sensor swapping over to put the lesser used passenger cover and foam cushion on the drives side.
Be doubly sure you use the correct size torx bit as the screw heads are very soft and easily rounded, an extra pair of hands can be very useful when utting the covers over the foam cushions.
It is very worthwhile, and hides any wear or splits in the cushion drivers side behind the centre tunnel
You may be able to save yourself a lot of time, effort and cash with this method, highly recommended
It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Anyone know a good source for a replacement black leather cover for a 2008 model HSE (soft leather not perforated). I can see new ones at Rimmers etc but they’re silly money 😢
Just need the base - backrest is fine as is the passenger side.

I got my front seat retrimmed for £65.
It is worth changing the heated seat pad also, prone to failing.05 V8 HSE Bonatti Grey
