i think many of the folks who appeared on it were there for their 5 minutes of fame ... certainly, many years ago, "Trisha" show was filled with students seeing what they could get away with ... and being paid for it too.

I used to quite enjoy it when on the treadmill. I was pretty entertaining with no sound (bangin toonz on headphones) and sweat running into my eyes.

No a fan of him, or program, full stop.
However, last night I read something on twitter.
It was noted that there were calls for the program to be axed because of this 1 sad incident. Regardless of the reasons behind the gentleman taking his own life, I doubt if the program can be blamed.
Another program, Love Island, has had 2 previous attendees/contestants take their own lives. Numerous others have had issues and meltdows. There have been no calls for that program to be axed.
There are too many of these programs around that allow people their 5 mins of fame (as has been said above) but people can't cope with the fallout afterwards.MY07 Freelander2 SE Santorini Black - Gone

What will the police use for training material of ‘dealing with members of the public’ now JK has been axed
As has been said I too am not a fan of him, or his program.
There are too many "cheap" reality programs like Love Island, which I haven't watched. I would be quite happy if they were all axed, and replaced with programs of better quality - but not more repeats please.

Never going to happen
Quality TV programs cost money and all TV companies copy what the others do.
"Reality" TV programs are cheap to make and pull in ridiculous viewing figures for such utter Viewing figures are all that matter as this generates advertising revenue which translates to profits for the production company and salaries/bonuses/dividends.Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector

Wait for the claims to pour in from the poor souls who were traumatised over the last 15 yrs.
The smell of cash will already be in their nostrils. Original Owner.
Why did none of the blokes on there have any teeth, were as ugly as hell, thick as a brick but able to bed so many women? Not that i'm jealous - most of the women were just as bad.
All these types of programmes are 'bread and circuses'. Britain's Got Talent, etc, are just as bad, exploiting and humiliating in the first rounds the desire for fame of people who have a slightly different opinion of their talent to that of the wider public.
