Wireless reversing camera
Hi , I am looking at fitting a wireless reversing camera has anyone here done this ? also I would like it displayed on the sat nav screen if possible .
I have heard that it`s possible to enable the 4x4 screen too on my SE, does anybody here know how to do it ?

I went for the dashcam with rear cam option on fleabay for £25. The wire to the rear cam fits nicely into the headlining Dave

Thanks for the info, for the moment I have bought a wired reversing camera and the plug adaptor to fit into the back of the sat nav. I will then use the "Hidden" screen button to access the menu and select rear camera and see if that works. Have either of you tried this idea ?

Yeah.
You don’t want to do that every time though.
What thread have you been reading ?

I am going to see if this idea works first as I need it for a job at the end of this month which involves many trailer hitch up`s on a site, I will just keep the camera picture on the screen full time as I don`t want it to only work in reverse !!.
If everything works then I will do the RRS mod with a switch to swap back to D3 mode.

Hi aja4x4 , the adaptor you need is from an FAKRA to RCA, the D3 shop on this site sells them, I could make one up but time etc etc .

Don’t forget to power the camera from ignition (not reverse lights!)

Thanks Pete K, I`am already on that one, I am using the cam to look at the tow hitch and maybe a metre arc around it for this job so I will use an ignition feed for the cam.
Kind regards Dave

And when you want to switch between the two modes you have to let the vehicle shut down/go to sleep before switching

it's not a problem for what you want to do now for your trailer.
But when you fit your RR switch, the car has to shut down before the switch change will take effect
