Camping with the Freemasons

Camping with the Freemasons.

The Nomadic Masonic Lodge is now formed. If you enjoy camping in a caravan, motorhome or tent and would like to be a member of this unique Lodge consecrated in Buckinghamshire this year, please make contact for further details. Our camping weekends include a lodge meeting and our wives/partners and, especially, our friends, are fully included apart from the actual Masonic meeting. The 'festive board' - or a meal, following the meeting takes place at the campsite in a relaxed atmosphere generating companionship and support.

At present we meet four times a year in or around Buckinghamshire.

So, if you are a camping Mason, or even if you are not a Mason, and this appeals to you please come and join us, alternatively if you would like to be considered as a member and become a Freemason, just make contact for further information.

Please e- mail : nomadic@buckspgl.org

What a great idea! Does someone have a very large awning with a chequered floor Smile or will you use temples close to the camp for the actual meeting?

Not a mason, but my father was and my mother's father was. Predictably the Guardian is in uproar about it Rolling Eyes They never seem to mention the millions that they raise for charity which is also done as "secretly" Good luck with the venture. Thumbs Up

That article's not worth the mobile data it takes to download it but what I do know is that when it takes a committee of 15 freemasons a whole year to plan the same dinner dance they've had for the past 40+ years then establishing an evil New World Order is going to be a bit of a big ask. Dr. Evil

To begin with temples close by but, in the future, possibly on the field. Our consecration was in a marquee in Winslow!

Having been in business with a Mason for ten years, I have some direct experience and it wasn't pleasant. He set out in later years to deceive and steal from my business, destroying my own lively hood to further his own interests. Of course he his behind the "we do lots for charity" banner, but it seemed to me to be something they hid behind as a veil of decency to an otherwise dishonest organisation.

I don't think that being a mason was anything to do with what you allege.

There are a lot of dishonest people in this world and they are not all freemasons.

Sorry, but it was directly to do with it. He colluded with his "brothers" to deceive.

I saw direct evidence that freemasonary diverted valuable contracts to cronies, and direct evidence of unfairly won contracts due to freemasonary connections.

^ ... if only that were restricted to Freemasons. Sadly, in all groups (named organisations or not) there will be bar stewards who do that kind of thing.

Just read "Rotten Boroughs" in Private Eye. ALL the political partys have little cliques who are in it for themselves with no regard for anyone else.

No reason the FMs would not have similar problems within.

Agreed. I'm really sorry for your experiences but you can easily replace freemasonry with "golf club", "rambling club" even "church". Cronyism isn't exclusively a masonic thing.

If you could really get rich quick and get off speeding fines with the shake of a hand everyone would be into it.
