C1A70 Rear left height sensor supply.

I’ve just changed both rear upper suspension arms and after finishing and running the engine it’s come up with this fault.

It’s taken a few weeks to do the replacements and in that time the battery has died enough to not be able to start the car (other stuff still works). Jumped it off my Range Rover and that fault just keeps coming back every time I clear it.

Need to get it sorted as MOT was due last month and need to retest before swmbo gets annoyed her car is off the road for too long!!!

Hi

Indeed , after replacing the upper arms it’s need aligning , can light up the dashboard like a xmas tree

Assume it was perfectly ok before u replace the arms

Know it’s not an easy job and like many of us had the pleasure of replacing them

The hunter 4 x wheel alignment system is the recommend one to have done

Did u do all ur bolts back up on the arms with it back on the ground Thumbs Up

No, tight as hell up in the air as can’t get to them from underneath (knee and back problems!)

Hi

Cheers for the reply , understand it can be a royal pain

Was trying to find out if u had tightened them up with the wishbone hanging down, reason for it so can at least ensure it’s set up right before u get the alignment done and save u some grief

Feel for u , many of us having back issues

Good luck with that , Laughing

Ur be better off finding a garage that has the hunter systems

Need to unload the wishbone, as at the moment the bushes are twisting and won’t last long , so need to be all undone again, wishbones preloaded then done up

Plus if you’ve allowed the ABS module to empty u need diagnostics to open it again

With these u really need to set them up correctly or ur keep getting problems
