Back to a Discovery.. this time a D4 61 plate
Bought this picking up next week. Not Viewed the car yet gone with the ad! but all looks good so far..
full service history belts just changed
good MOT history mileage 138k

Does anyone know of the car??

its a GS spec so wouldnt have come as standard with front fogs, it does appear to have had leather manual seats added as an option though.

it was for sale at 136k miles with no black pack so the grill etc appear to have been done recently.

MOT says it got advisories for rear bushes

is that a face-lift front end ? as above, why no fogs ?

edit : too slow.

my GS did have fogs ... but it also had xenons and other bits that a GS shouldn't have. dealer suspected it had been a demo car.

its possibly a powerfuluk aftermarket grill like mine, with sprayed side vents... like mine.... but i dont have black wheels Laughing

sounds like yours probably was a demo as a private buyer would be stupid IMO to pay to add on those extras when you got 99% of them in an XS spec for less money the a GS with them added.

Pulled out of the deal!
I was happy to have placed a bid on the car the description was good and seemed to be honest. Browsing through the seller feedback saw that he sold on 4 cars in the past 13 months.
The ad was from a private seller not a trader
I asked the question to him?
He said he was not in the trade.. I asked how did he come about selling 4 cars in 14 months?
He said sometimes he comes across deals..
Then said i should buy from someone who has a little knowledge on cars the someone with none!
Then through the message found out he is a MOT tester! but still claimed he was not in the trade!

He kept saying this was his car and not to be sold on.. I asked how long did he own the car for??
14 weeks..

Asked for my £100 deposit back he said no. Just about to start a small claim to recover my deposit.
He is claiming to be the victim!
