Oil leak from Right bank cam housing?

So when I drive long distance or tow the caravan I can smell oil burning. Got it on the ramp at work today to carry out service and I can see oil dripping from what looks to be the right bank cam housing and it’s quite obvious it’s dripping onto the exhaust cross over pipe. Is this common? Is it easy to rectify? Any one got any info on it?

I can’t see from your pics.
But the brake vacuum pump can leak oil on dr side.
Gasket can be £30 !

This is a picture of an engine on eBay. It appears to be coming from the bottom of that component circled.

Is it doable then? I had to get a mirror on a stick to see it. I’m used to fiddling about in dark places (careful now) haha

Does oil actually go through the vac pump?

Not thru it. But plenty about.

It’s a fun job. 3 bolts.

I’d leave it.

Only problem is, it’s dripping onto the exhaust. I don’t want it to end up a charred burnt out mess on the floor lol

i have changed mine. it is doable, you need to buy the rubber gasket (buy LR) and refit it. access you can get on top once you remove a things from the way. if you remove the cable tray from the way then you will be surprised how much it will help. the only difficult think is you need go align the notch of the rotating part with the notch of the cam shaft. that's tricky cause you don't see but a mirror is of great assistance.
not a technical job but you need space.

Lol I don’t have salami arms but I’m handy with the spanner’s. If I can get a few things out the way I should be able to do it.
