For the quoted numbers to work out, the engine must fire up in just over 3.5 seconds each time. Can anyone report what use it is with an engine that is reluctant to start - such as in a morning after below zero night temperatures when there is a prolonged period of cranking?
Still might get one for emergency power for girl-friend's tablet as she can flatten the usual external battery power source in a day's use and always forgets to recharge it. Can't answer specifically but searching Tacklife on here may help. I hadn't heard of the brand until a few people here had mentioned it which is why I started looking.
I read somewhere that someone managed to get 3 jump starts from 1 charge on a D4. I suppose it depends on the full state of the battery and each case is different. Getting one to keep as an emergency and for the price can't moan.
Few decent videos on YouTube as well.
Someone who already has one maybe able to assist further!

Tacklife stuff is pretty solid - totally different but I bought an automatic retracting hose - puts up with all sorts of abuse and a lot cheaper than Hozelock etc.Now Golf GTI PP, 7 speed DSG.

Not aiming this comment specifically at the Tacklife, but look carefully at the pictures and compare characteristics against the cheap alternatives. They all come out of China and most are similar if not the same under the fancy branding and cases.
I lined myself up to buy a proprietary branded one a couple of years ago but with mixed reviews (same for all) I could not bring myself to pay £100 for something I was unsure would do the job. Therefore I bought a Chinese branded one from Amazon, costing just £25.
I have been absolutely amazed by its performance - jump starting a completely dead 3.2L v6 Audi, winding a Dolomite Sprint with stuck clutch out of a shed on it's starter motor, jumping multiple dead flat batteries in quick succession to name but a few. The technique is to connect up, power up, turn ignition on and leave for 10 secs. Turn ignition off, repeat, then off again and start.
The bit that astonished me most though upon receiving and inspecting the device was the discovery that it was identical inside the casing to the dearer one even down to the position of ports, buttons and LEDs!Not such a Disco Newbie now!

I bought one of these to keep in the boot for emergencies. When that emergency came it was useless (it was fully charged and less than 3 months old) no fault of the unit it just did not have the power needed. Now its just used to charge the iPhone.
I then thought a noco genius 40 might be a better choice and again was no good for anything other than small petrol engines. Now have the noco genius 70 which does the job. Do not put your faith in the Taclife as you will be sorely disappointed when you need it in an emergency.IID Tool

Very interesting is that Drew! Reviews on YouTube and Online are good and a few members on here have had good success with it! Good to here varied opinions though.
I know there is quite a strict rule to follow of how you attempt to jump and time scales etc! Hopefully nothing I use it for will be that dead it doesn't do enough!
