Re: Air Suspension 06 Disco Refill Question

Any way/place to attach a normal tyre compressor to the air suspension as my D3 is down on all fours and won't pump up when started.
Pump/compressor comes on for a few seconds but then the fault light comes on and then the pump stops.
I am guessing it has a leak somewhere but need to pump it up to see where air is leaking from.
Any ideas?
Hi
If u haven’t got a code reader , need to ensure ur fuses and relay are ok with a multimeter
then other option is to remove ur compressor, put it on a bench and see if it runs with a 12 volt supply provided to it , u can fit a pressure gauge to see what the output is
As then u can at least establish first and foremost ur compressor is ok
Do u know how old ur compressor is Plse , if there has been a leak for a while that will in turn burn them out but won’t know until you’ve tested it
Also when it was working did the suspension drop overnight
Hope that helps
Ps, a gap iid is a diagnostic reader , really are a must with these vehicles

Diagnostic codes will reveal what's going on, anything else is just guesswork and can be a costly exercise and possibly no improvement of the problem. There are no Schrader valves in the system for external filling, your best bet is to invest in a GAP IID bt it will pay for itself after a couple of uses and is invaluable for D3/4 ownership.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
