Replacement Gear Knob
Hi Guys
Joined the club (also literally as got my first Disco 3 yesterday!). So Hi everyone....
Anyhoo, does anyone know the cost of a new manual gear knob from Land Rover or is it better to shop around?
Thanks

My nerdy spreadsheet from where I collated all the fixes and upgrades needed just after buying my Disco in 2016 tells me I got my replacement from Craddocks for £40. I even recorded the part number.
Looks like they still sell them for a few quid more:

Thanks Guys.
Powerful seem to be £5 cheaper due to the free postage. I'll go there.
The one I've inherited is sticky and gooey. God only knows what the previous owner was up to....!!
Try cleaning with either bicarbonate of soda or smokers tooth powder if it's just sticky and otherwise looks tidy. The tooth powder has bonus of nice smell..

It's a LR genuine part so you'll get it significantly cheaper from Dan at Duckworthparts: duckworthparts. Drop him a PM, usually free postage from them too.
PowerfulUK is full UK retail price, and then some. "Free" postage is presumably built into the markup over the full price.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Thanks Dean and Martin.
I'll try cleaning first and see if that works. If not I'll PM Dan.

Nice one Dean!! Smokers toothpolish and A little Mr Sheen at the end. Et voila!!! Saved me a few quid!
I found that trick when googling why a remote control sat in a draw had gone "gooey" to the touch..
