Replacing speakers

I think the speakers are on the way out on my D4 front passenger side,

are the speakers in that door one complete unit? also is it a full door card removal job? i take it the speakers will be on connectors?

I'm pretty useless at this kind of thing so just wanted to gauge how easy they are to replace before I start.

I've got a speaker going if you want it.

I bought a door from a breakers last week. the door was in great condition although I cant guarantee the condition of the speaker I can't see why it wouldn't work. I swapped the speakers over and put mine in the new door.

It was from a 2011 car (the Door harness was dated 2011)

You can have it for £10 plus postage?

It's not a particularly hard job, you do have to remove the complete door card, I'm sure theres plenty of info on here about removing it so I won't go into it..

All I'll say is be patient and don't force anything, unless it needs it (it does need it to pop the door card off after all the fixings are removed.

Let me know if you want the speaker, I can get a photo later if you like.

Then its just as simple as 4 screws and the plug.. Disco4 MY16 SDV6 Landmark Black

How hard was it to replace the full door? Did you have to swap over keyless entry etc?

I dont have keyless entry, just had to swap the part of the door handle that you can put the key in, just a grub screw, 2 minute job..
Took me about 1.5 hours start to finish on my own Disco4 MY16 SDV6 Landmark Black
