Hi all
Just signed up on Disco3.co.uk. Great site!
Just bought my 1st Landie in Jan this year and am absolutely thrilled with it. Did the Level One drivers course at Land Rover Experience, Gerotec three weeks ago in all the rain. Probably the best conditions to really learn the abilities of the Disco3. Wow, its ability far exceed my capability! I'm impressed with the fuel comsumption, actually less than my Volvo S60 2.5T I had around town!! It is such a comfortable vehicle to drive both on and off road. I'm really looking forward to the many weekends away in the vehicle. 8) I thrik the Subaru slogan "What a car" is more apt to the Disco3.

Welcome Steve.
I also have a D3 and an S60. Seems like a good combination! Wait until you start some serious offroading with the D3. I have compared the D3, side by side, to my previous Defender 2.8i on an difficult offroad track and the D3 was able to get through two sections were my Defender failed.

Due to logistical reasons had both the D3 and Defender at the Vaalriver this week-end and traversed the area in the Defender on Saturday. At one point it actualy got stuck due to break-over angle being too great. With a lot of wheelspin and rocking, eventualy got it over the obstacle.
Decided to take the D3 on the same route the following morning and proceeded with great caution - at this point all the passengers got out as they did not want to witness the carnage, as they saw what happened the previous day in the Defender.
As the D3 went over the first part and touched its underbelly I could put it into super extended suspension mode and proceeded over the entire obstacle as if driving down William Nicol
Needless to say drove back with suitably impressed passengers (and driver)

no pics unfortunately - two confessions here : 1 - did not have camera with me (this was purely a casual drive) and
2 - still haven't mastered downloading of pics
do not know which of the above I must be more embarassed about

Welcome Steve
I don't think that you will ever want to drive anything else. Enjoy it and use it!
