Lack of power

Hi guys. I am pretty sure I know what the issue is on the car but thought I would ask the collective mass. Yesterday there was no power out of the car at all untill 2000 revs then by manic it was ok. Reading on previous posts the good old fave of the egr valve comes up. I have put the iid tool on it and it says egr valve 1 position 5. Egr valve 0 position 92 via the live data bit.

My question is. Is it better to get rid of the egr valves and do the software mod or take em out and clean them. The car was terra cleaned only 6 months back. It is a 58 plate tdv6 auto anyway. Any advice would be superb

Cheers

Yep.....what can I say.
I recently had the same issue but mines a 2005 so no need for software delete bit of searching on here confirmed it. Fitted blanking plates 1 side was done already did the flapper mod job done.

And that terra clean is pretty much a waste of money

Not if you blank off and leave the pipes in position, no software upgrade needed with a D3.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I believe the 2008 requires the software patch to turn off the engine light
