D4 rear pads and discs

Just had my D4 serviced under the service plan 36 months. Vehicle has covered 28,000 miles.
The service report states front pads have 7mm left but rear pads are down to 3mm and require replacing.
I have replaced both rear discs and pads but wondering why the rears should wear at twice the rate of the front?

The balance of braking on D4s seems to put more pressure on the rear brakes than the D3, this results in the rears wearing faster, LR recommended changing disks when they have worn 3mm Shocked , so if they are going to be below this before the next service they recommend changing them, brake pads and disks are a big earner for main dealers.

It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
