Happen s so much though Stew, unit next to ours was expecting a pallet despatched Thursday from Birmingham for a Friday am delivery, didn’t arrive, chased palletways up, be with you this afternoon, come 4pm Friday, chased them again, delivery promised for Saturday morning, still never arrived. Finally arrived Tuesday, they were busy at the palletways hub Thursday night, no room on the trunk, so it didn’t get loaded, you would think if that was the case the a.m. deliveries would be priority and they would leave of the less urgent ones, finally loaded on the Monday night trunk.

Stew you may have paid Brett Martin for a pre 12:00 noon delivery, BUT did they order/pay DX for a pre 12:00 delivery?
Most couriers do not guarantee delivery next day/pre 9,10,12 deliveries. If they do not deliver on time the guarantee normally is a refund of some/all charges.
At this time of year there is extra strain on the system and couriers not delivering on time is on the increase!

The text states that it's a before noon service so they shouldn't be offering a time after that.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Had one many years ago ordered a quantity of cleats, fixings and connectors from a company in Scotland who dispatched the order with DHL on a pallet, given the delivery address was on Jersey and we had found that you could add upto a week to the expected delivery date of any shipment we didn't chase it for 10 days.
When we started to chase it with the local DHL office they eventually found the pallet was still in their cargo unit at Heathrow because the pallet was too big to load onto the aircraft that flies to Jersey and nobody had thought to break it down to a size that would fit, having suggested to them that they break it down the delivery appeared 36 hours later"Never keep up with the Joneses. Drag'em down to your level. It's cheaper".

Oooops What can I say?
All I can plead is being brain dead due to working in a cold warehouse at the time! Now slowly thawing out in front of log burner.

Sometimes its just being honest
In fairness amazon seem to manage it and dpd seem to get it...but again its about managing expectations and being realistic
Its a shame that we need to order things now, that you cant rely on going to the shop and them a)having it b)its a reasonable cost c)there is a shop!Mike

It is an issue if you live in a rural area.
Most of the bigger couriers in our area have depots in Gloucester so they are close to an hour from the edge of the patch. The drivers will tell you if they have pre 10:30 or 12:00 at opposite ends of the area they will only do one of them. Sometimes you luck out on a normal delivery when someone else has order a pre 10:30 near you.IID PRO
