Rear Panhard rod adjustment setting

Hi All,
Going to replace the rear panhard rods as they are now a little wobbly, the question is what setting do I use, conflicting information on the forum some folks say 10mm bottom of rubber to chassis mount and others say 12mm?
Cheers

Toe link should be set at 12mm and torqued to 133Nm. The outer bolt should be torqued to 175Nm and a new bolt fitted if the existing has been previously torqued any more than 5 times. (a centre punch mark indicates each time on the bolt has been torqued) Or at least it's supposed to be done that way. Rolling Eyes

The adjustment lock nut is 130Nm. Thumbs Up

OK, thanks you. Just to be safe I've fetched new bolts and nuts.
The Haynes Manuel states 10mm, that's why I queried the setting, best to the safe than sorry.

Haynes is wrong but that wouldn't be the first time. Laughing Mark the head of the new outer bolt with a
single decent centre punch mark to indicate (1) torqueing procedure carried out. Thumbs Up

Apparently the bolt comes under considerable pressure, particularly when the vehicle is in off road conditions. If it has been torqued too many times it can snap when you really don't want it to Shocked

It's only a 20 min job but remember to "copy" the adjustment position from the old bar. Even so it's a good idea to have the alignment done afterwards. At least for the rear, and by a professional outfit that knows what they are doing.

Otherwise you'll eat either the outer or inner shoulder of the tyre!!! Thumbs Up
