Suspension not venting pressure C1A13

Our disco has recently started flagging an orange or red suspension fault on the dash while driving I’ve also noticed it pops up when you try and lower the suspension.

Fault codes showing C1A13 Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery

Occasionally the right rear will drop if left for more than a few days.

Anyone able to shed some light or point me to a guide for checking the suspect parts?

Thanks all

Gallery pressure is reading 330kpa ish with engine running, if I try to lower the suspension it jumps up to 425kpa ish and flags the fault on the dash.

Perfect, Thankyou

Wouldn’t happen to know if there’s a diagram showing where the pipe routing and exhaust is? I don’t feel like getting under it in this wind! Laughing

I've got same code and have tried nearly everything and am now struggling but firstly you asked for exhaust routing. It is the large pipe (10mm) coming out of the back of the compressor and routes back to the large plastic silencer sitting in front of spare wheel. Best way to get to it is to drop spare wheel but if you are trying to test the exhaust, I disconnected the pipe at the compressor (it's a push fit connection) to see whether the compressor vented (it does) and to see if I got the same fault (I do) so my conclusion is that the problem is not a blocked exhaust pipe. You could do the same and if the compressor vents (you will hear jet of air escaping) but you still get the error code then it's not the exhaust pipe.

I'm getting the following codes:

IP (Instrument pack)
U0132 Lost communication with ride level control module
P0000 NO DTC DESCRIPTION

RLCM (Ride level control module)>Read Fault Code:
C1A13 Pressure does not decrease when venting gallery

So far I've:

rebuilt/resealed compressor (Hitachi) including new seals to vent valve
rebuilt/resealed tank and rear valve blocks
taken out tank, checked for leaks, de-rusted and painted (probably irrelevant to problem)
replaced all level control sensors (with LR ones) and had them recalibrated

At one point I replaced the Hitachi with one of these after-market jobbies but still got same fault codes so reverted back to original Hitachi. I'm a bit at a loss now so perhaps a bit of mind sharing might help.

I'm now wondering if is electrical, I'm told there are a number of points where wires/joints become corroded.

One thing I've found is when I start the car, the fault code comes up. I then stop the engine, let the system reset, start the car again and move the switch to Access mode (it does go to Access mode) and then move switch to Normal mode (car rises) and fault doesn't reappear, often for some time.

I'm also wondering whether it is the pressure sensor, which sits on the middle/tank valve block....?

Pete
