12v connection in boot not working

Hi,

I hope theres an easy answer to this. I have a 2016 dicsco 4 Graphite with full fixed tow ball and 13 pin electrics for a caravan.

the 12v connection in the boot doesn't work and, suspiciously, when I plug an adapter in to it, that adapter never seems to work again in any car...

I have checked the in car fuses but they're all sound.

should there be one in-line near the towing electric connections maybe?

Michael

Is that the cig lighter type Aux connector or something to do with tow bar? If it’s the Aux power then it could be that someone forgot to put the plug on the back. Done it myself after having the panel out.

very odd ... there shouldn't be any possibility of over-voltage (and many of the 12v-to-USB adapters are rated 12/24 volts) so I'd suspect mechanical damage. Have a good look inside the hole.
