help diagnosing vibration
I have a rotational vibration when travelling above 30+ kph
it's not linked to brakes - in that it's present when accelerating, coasting or braking
it is linked to speed - increasing the rotations the faster I go.
it sounds like something is stuck on the surface of one of the wheels - but I fear its the driveshaft and going to be $$$$$ to fix
Any tips on troubleshooting such an issue would be gratefully recieved

If you can rule out the tyres and wheels it might be just the centre bearing on the rear prop!
Although fiddly, it can be replaced easily enough if you are patient, and if so will cost about $60. Generally its the rubberised bearing filler/mount that breaks down causing the vibration. If so, its quite visible if you try to move the shaft vertically within the outer support ring. Some prefer to fit a complete new shaft, others use Silkaflex on the old bearing mount to repair it. My personal preference is to replace the centre bearing which I have done many times.
It could also be a tyre anomaly, a wheel bearing, or an issue with one of the other four drive shafts. But you have to start somewhere!
A tyre centre would quickly rule out the wheels / tyres with a balance test.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

I would inspect the tyres first.
Do you feel the vibration more at the front or rear?
Try swaping your tyres front to back and see if the vibration moves.

How many miles has the car done? New tyres recently? Any other work done recently that's related to any rotational surfaces? Brakes recently looked at?2011 MY D4 HSE

200k km
not had new tyres & no work done recently
the vibration seems to be centred in the car, rather than one side or another

I would check your rear prop bearing first as mentioned before as it's quite central in the car
