D3 Alternator question

I like to know, IF the alternator on a TDV6 D3 (MY06) has a Variable Voltage alternator, like on the D4 ('09 on) or not..

Do you mean variable voltage as in contolled by pwm?

It is controlled by the PCM, it also depends on engine temp, battery condition and OAT.

The D4 works differently due to AGM batteries but again don't know if that's the alternator or PCM so not much help.
