Just like to commend AF for their excellent customer service:
A relative purchased 2 key shells as a present for me and when they arrived there was no lr logo on the 3rd button, as i only wanted replacements due to one tatty original and one aftermarket without logo (but as new) this was a disapointment. AF , however have duly allowed return and refund made. Great stuff.
I would however, recommend they change the photo to show that these items do NOT have the land rover logo on them .

I bought 2 of these
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302880769508
I was not expecting much for the price, but they are actually a perfect replacement and much better than ones i used on another motor years ago.
You have to de-pin your cut key to replace the blank blade on it, unless your getting the new blank cut to suit your motor (i will do that with the other one next week, as I currently have no spare for the new to me project motor)

Yes
And the little screw (don't bloody drop it!!) makes it fit together securely.
EDIT: Forgot to say, if using your original land rover key blade, it requires a small amount of filling to the old blade for it to fit into the new blade holder.

Just come across this thread.
Land Rover have been very strict on replacement shells having logos. All of mine have the logo and yes, the original blade needs removing from the old key hinge and fitting to the new one. The hinge flip part is different for some reason, it's not a straight swap.
The shells with the screw are designed to make it seem easy to swap out, I would advocate they still need bonding together. A good key and replacement Panasonic rechargeable battery should give 10+ years of life, you shouldn't need any reason to take it apart!
