Enter service mode on a FFRR without IID licence |
|
Morning all,
I reluctantly offered to change the rear pads on my neighbours FFRR, is has the electronic module on the caliper itself.
I connected my Gap BT IID, it will read and clear the faults and it has the option to 'enter service mode' for the EPB. When I select this, the ignition goes off and on again, but then says 'operation failed E3'.
Should this work or will it need a licence? He's happy to pay for a licence and I'm happy for him to have one, but only if it needs it.
Should this function work without a licence?
I did read that you can do it with a manual combination of putting the epb brake off and hold the throttle etc, but I could get this to work.
Thanks in advance,

what's maintenance mode ?
does it allow you more slack on the cables ?
or just stop it suddenly applying ?
