Gonna get my new D3 GS next week (which comes with the standard 17" twin 5 spoke alloys on)? - I hate them!
DO I
1. Leave 'as-is' and then possibly sell my 17's to a mud-plugger who will use the 17's for grabbers? Then buy myself nice 20" stormers??? (And listen to Mrs Sportybus going on to me for spending MORE money on myself for next 6 months!!!)
2. Swop my current D3's 18" 5 spoke wheels (S model one's - I think?) onto my new D3.... BUT that will immediately 'date' my new model as they are the old style wheels and no longer available! Ps My 18's have 4 brand new GoodYear's on them about 2 months ago!
3. Pay Mr. Stealer to add new style 18's ilo 17's @ £300 odd?
4. Or what?
Before someone asks, no I don't have my 'old' 17's to put back on my current 5 seater base (sold them to Disco3 member for big plugger tyres)

At £300ish I'd go for option 3.
Otherwise I'd put STT's on the 17's Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead, A panels, vent panel & outriggers now disintegrated - Next years project!
Keep with the 17's and keep an eye out for some HSE 19's.
I got mine, brand new from a dealer for £400 straight off a new car. Keep the 17's for when you want to go off-road (it's only a matter of time)."To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

leave the 17" on her .. for now .. save a few pounds and get your 20" (you know you want to )
then sell your 17" for MUD work to some one here (alway people looking for 17") and recover some of your out lay.
You have all just confirmed what my mind was telling me, not my heart!
"Short time pain for long time gain.. and all that!"
Watch this space for some 'nearly new 17" alloys' with a few 100 miles on the tyres!!!!! Est-ce que bonjour, vous aime ma nouvelle découverte brillante gentille trois, je pense qu'elle regarde les boules de chiens, pas vous ?

We do not have all that choices here. For my disco 3, i kept the original 19' with on road tyres and found out a set of 17´for playing . I would probably use the yokohama muds on these.
I´d rather keep only the 19' with MTRs, but they are not available in Brazil and the importing fees are

I go with DSL, they look good and are lot smoother ride than either 17 or 18 inch in my humble opinion
