Front Left Corner Valve Fault |
|
I have recently had the intercooler replaced and the mechanic returned with the dreaded orange suspension warning light on.
I have tried to clear the fault with IID but not possible.
I am thinking there could be an open wire somewhere, the voltage with engine on reads 14.9/15.
What can I do, as I can't drive as can't get the pump on to raise the front, the pump is working as there have been times the system is working.

If you have the IID tool, read the codes related to suspension and post them here Defender 110 SE 2021, Tasman Blue

The IID gives me C1A31-01 (AF) code front left corner valve.
I am thinking it could be a wire connection problem but not sure where to check.
When I clear the code the pump comes on for millisecond before the fault light comes back on.
I have removed the left front wheel arch cover and can see a number of connections just behind the front left wheel??

The ECU is bolted to the A pillar. Right side on RHD. Not sure on yours.
Check the pair of wires between the value and ECU.
If you find a break, quickest thing would be to run a new wire in, if you aren't confident in finding the break.
As this started after IC replacement. You may as well disconnect the block connector, inspect and refit to see if that helps
