Air bag cover curling
I tried a search... but maybe I’m doing it wrong because I keep getting thousands of hits for “air bag cover.â€
I hope his isn’t repost but the cover on my air bag is curled and looks very ugly and I would like to know if I can order a replacement cover without having to order an entirely new airbag.
Is this possible?

I'd imagine that the whole lot would need replacing. Would this not be a warranty issue???Regards,

Sometimes you get better results in the search if you put a + in front of each word you search for:
+air +bag +cover
This forces the search to find posts that contain all the words instead of any of the words.
There are some posts about curling airbag covers, I think you can get just the cover.

It's a known issue and quite a lot of people (including me) have had them replaced under warranty without too much trouble.
I'm sure that it is only available as a complete assembly (cover + airbag module) as the cover is an integral part of the airbag itself....2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

Mine too
Mine was fine until I moved it to Southern North Carolina. Left the windows closed one day when it was hot and I guess Mr Sunshine beat it up.
When I pull it to replace the steering wheel cruise switch I was thinking I would use a heat gun to try and straighten it out.
Anyone did this? Pretty much sucks for such a vehicle, looks ragged. Probably will not work as I assume I will be very careful heating it up around the air bag.
I wouldn't try until it was off the vehicle of coarse.2005 Land Rover D3, 4.4L V8, Maya Gold Metallic

Gentle heating with a hot airgun should allow it to be moved back
